This is going to be a wonderful and busy year for Susan and the Band. They have started recording a new Susan Angeletti Band Cd at Zing Studio in Western, Massachusetts with the expert ears of Engineer and Studio Owner Jim Fogarty. This new Susan Angeletti Band recording promises to be a very funky and old school rootsy affair!! Susan Angeletti Band is driving Blues , Soul n rock Band with the powerful and emotive, distinctive 3 & 1/2 plus Octave Range of Soul Blues Voice Susan Angeletti who cites Singers Etta James ,
Howard Tate , Esther Phillips, Howlin Wolf ,Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin , Janis, Nina Simone , Wilson Pickett, Ike & Tina , Slim Harpo & Jimmy Reed and Johnny Winter as divine influences.
A perfect sizzlin match is the refreshing and old school sounds of Lead & Rhythm Guitarist "Derm"(Michael Dermody )from the Berkshires, and stellar stepped in funk, soul, blues jazz n old School rock Bassist Rick Williams ; then add the gritty and funky, meat n potato muscle shoals kinda drumming sounds of Drummer Jerry Giguere and you've got a recipe for some very fine live Roots music!
"Live"....Living, breathing music by Susan and the Band that we hope truly honors and shines a very bright light on all the musicians and singers in the beloved blues, roots n soul traditions that so importantly came before us and so inspired us and taught us to be Musicians and Performers!
We hope we will inspire you the audience and lift you up with our music and make you forget your troubles for awhile and carry on the traditions of Blues, R n B , Soul Gospel , Funk , Jazz Roots Rock music while contributing our own unique sound.
